Pet Care Team

Our Pet Care Team in Canton

Leo the Cat

Leo Our Hospital Cat

Hello, Visitors! I am Leo and I own this place. I joined the team in 2014 after I was anonymously left at their front door in a box one night. The humans think they rescued me and that I am grateful for living here, but little do they know that I am really in control of all that goes on here.

You see, I am the eyes and the ears of this hospital. You may see me lounge in various places when you visit here. Even though it appears that I am sleeping, do not be fooled. I am watching closely to be sure that your pets are treated appropriately and that the team members do their job well.

When I am not working here, I enjoy searching for treasures in the trash cans of the offices. I also like to inspect everyone’s drinks and lunches and help myself to them when they are not watching. I do like to chat with your pets when they are here, and it is amazing to hear the various stories they have to tell! Feel free to look for me and say hello when you are here.

April Practice Manager

Hello, my name is April, and I am the Practice Manager at Riverstone Animal Hospital, joining the team in 2021. I have been in the management field for over a decade and am so excited to further develop my career with Riverstone. Hailing from North Georgia originally, I am delighted to be working directly with our beautiful community. I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2008 with a business management degree and have been striving to develop my abilities ever since.

My husband and I married in 2005 and we live happily in Canton with our three lively and boisterous boys, every day is an adventure! We also are the proud parents of a 14-year-old pug, Cooper, he tolerates all the daily commotion like a champ! Our favorite past times are all the things we can do together as a family; camping, hiking, board games, and worshiping with our church family.

As the Practice Manager, my aspiration is to provide servant leadership to the team that incorporates our core values as a hospital. The total care we deliver is genuinely important, our mission as a team is to provide exceptional service and compassionate care with genuine respect. Every pet and client that walks through our doors is valued and we appreciate your choice to visit our hospital. Please do not hesitate to reach out if I can assist you in any way, it is truly my pleasure.

Ashley Client Service Representative

I have been in the animal industry for over 15 years.  Previously, I worked in management for a major animal retailer, eventually transitioning into the veterinary field. When I joined veterinary medicine I chose a specialty practice where I worked at the front desk and played a large role in client communications and management.  I joined Riverstone in 2017 and enjoy caring for our clients and their pets on a daily basis.  I am here to help you in any way you need and I will find a solution to any challenge that may present.

Animals have always been a true passion of mine. I’m currently owned by a small zoo, both furry and feathered. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, along with training and competing in dog sports.

Devon Client Service Representative

Hi! My name is Devon, and I'm brand new to the veterinary field. I joined Riverstone Animal Hospital in 2016.  Before I joined the amazing team here at Riverstone, I was a retail manager. While I enjoyed what I did, I decided to leave the retail world to follow my dream of working with animals.

I have been married for two years and we have two beautiful girls! I'm also the proud mommy of three large rescue dogs. My husband and I would love to have our own animal rescue facility someday.

I am so proud to be part of the team here at Riverstone! The doctors and staff have so much compassion and love for animals. I feel right at home! I love getting to know all of the clients and patients, and I am so excited to get to know your pet!

Jerica Registered Veterinary Technician

Hi my name is Jerica and I am a registered veterinary technician.

I started my journey at Riverstone during my internship while pursuing my career as a vet tech at Gwinnett Technical College. After two months I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to become a full time vet tech here at Riverstone. I look forward to broadening my knowledge here and becoming close to all the clientele and their pets. I knew I always wanted to work with animals as a little girl. I started to fulfill that dream a year before I began college. That experience only made me want to pursue my career as a veterinary technician even more, so I changed directions in college and applied to Gwinnett Tech to become a registered vet tech.  I was so excited when I got accepted and I worked very hard for two years.  I graduated in May 2014 and I became licensed in August 2014! My favorite thing about being a vet tech is nursing care and constantly learning how to better care for your pets. I cannot picture myself working in any other field.

Camille Registered Veterinary Technician

Hello, my name is Camille. I am a registered veterinary technician here at Riverstone. I have been with Riverstone since 2008, here is where my journey in the veterinary industry started. I worked my way up from kennel, eventually graduating from Gwinnett Technical College with my associates in veterinary technologies and becoming licensed in 2014. Being at Riverstone has only made my passion of caring and loving each pet and client that I meet grow by leaps and bounds. I love being able to connect with so many people and their pets daily.

If you don’t find me working, you can find me camping with my little family. I have a wonderful husband, two little girls who love animals as much as I do and two of the best dogs!  I look forward to meeting everyone during their visits with us!

They say you never work a day in your life if you have a job you love, and whoever said that was right! My favorite thing about being here is getting to know all of you and your pets! The team here also makes my job easy as they are so supportive while I grow and learn.  I am very passionate about animals and have been ever since I was young. Riley the Cat

Riley In Loving Memory

Our sweet Riley was Riverstone Animal Hospital’s first four-legged team member. He joined our team our opening year of 2002 and quickly became the heart and soul of RAH. He is well remembered for drinking out of the running faucets, falling asleep on our surgery table, leaving "presents" in various hidden places, and most of all for reminding us all to never forget to enjoy the moment.

He peacefully crossed the Rainbow Bridge in June of 2013 after a long-standing illness, surrounded by his friends and team members from RAH. Rest in peace, Riley. You live on in all of our hearts.
