Internal Medicine

Our animal hospital offers complete internal medicine services. Our veterinarians can diagnose and treat most internal organ diseases such as hormonal disease, infectious diseases, kidney disease, liver disease, heart disease, and common age-related conditions. Any problems requiring advanced pet diagnostics or treatment can readily be referred to several nearby specialty hospitals where we will work closely with the specialist to resolve your pet’s condition.

Dermatology

Due to Georgia’s location and climate, skin and ear conditions rank among the most frequently seen problems in our pets. They also rank among the most frustrating problems for pet owners to manage. Properly identifying and treating the underlying cause is crucial for most skin and ear diseases, and our treatment approach is aimed at achieving this goal. We take great care in helping you understand and successfully manage these conditions.

In-House Laboratory

We can perform most laboratory procedures in house to allow us to have information about your pet’s health as quick as possible. This includes blood work, urine evaluation, internal and external parasite screening, heartworm screening, skin diagnostics, ear diagnostics, as well as cytology of common masses and wounds. Samples for more involved diagnostic testing are submitted to our outside lab and results are generally available within 24-48 hours.

Radiology (X-Ray)

Our animal hospital offers complete X-ray services in house. This includes bone, joint, and spinal radiographs as well as heart, chest, and abdominal techniques. We are also equipped with digital dental radiography for accurate evaluation of your pet’s teeth, jaws, and nasal passages and sinuses. If indicated we have the capacity to digitally send your pet’s images to a board-certified radiologist for evaluation and consultation.

Ultrasound

Modern ultrasound equipment helps us evaluate your pet’s internal organs such as liver, spleen, kidneys, gall bladder, urinary bladder, and prostate, and allows us to obtain samples of abnormalities.
