Wellness Services and Fees

The following is a list of our basic wellness services and associated fees. Please feel free to call us anytime for more specific information about your pet.

Wellness and Vaccines:

  • Our hospital offers several wellness packages for dogs and cats at a reduced rate to help our pet owners provide good preventative care for their pets. The packages provide savings of up to $69 over regular fees.
  • For more information about the wellness packages, click here to download our brochure and price list.
  • For dogs the Lyme and Leptospira vaccines are considered non-core and are recommended for certain risk factors and lifestyles. They can be added to a wellness package at 25% off regular fees.
  • Cats that go outdoors at all should be vaccinated against Feline AIDS and Feline Leukemia. These vaccines can also be added to any of the feline wellness packages at 25% off regular fees.

Spay and Neuter Surgery:

We feel very strongly that your pet’s spay or neuter surgery is not a “routine” surgery. For most pets, spay or neuter is the very first time they undergo general anesthesia and surgery, and happens at a time when they are not fully grown. For this reason we are determined to do everything we can to assure the safety and comfort of your pet.

All of our spay and neuter surgery packages include pre-anesthetic blood screening, intravenous catheter and administration of warmed electrolyte fuids, extensive safety monitoring during surgery as well as during recovery, and pain medication before and after surgery. Male pets are able to go home the same day of their surgery, while female pets go home the following day. Your pet’s follow-up visit and suture removal is included in the package price. Special safety precautions are taken for brachycephalic breeds such as pugs and bulldogs, and for sight hounds such as greyhounds and whippets.

  • Canine spay packages vary from $248 – $305
  • Feline spay package is $227
  • Canine neuter packages vary from $193 – $290
  • Feline neuter package is $164
  • Please note that there is an additional fee if the pet is in heat or pregnant, or if the male is a cryptorchid (1 or both testicles retained in the abdomen)
  • You will receive a phone call immediately after your pet’s surgery and will receive copies of labwork for your records. You are also invited to visit your pet anytime while in the hospital.

Dentistry:

While most hospitals offer teeth cleaning and treatment for your pet, how this is done and for what purpose can differ significantly. If all that is done is to remove the tartar build up from the crown (the visible part of the tooth), then you may have clean looking teeth, but the underlying cause of the gum disease in your pet may still be present and your pet may still be in physical discomfort.

In our hospital dental procedures are performed not just for cosmetic reasons and to clean the teeth, but more importantly, to treat active periodontal disease, which is the root cause of tooth-related health problems. Only by addressing these issues will your pet be truly healthier and pain free.

  • Our dentistry packages are based on the degree of periodontal disease present in your pet’s mouth. All packages include pre-anesthetic safety blood screening, intravenous catheter and warmed electrolyte fluids, extensive safety monitoring, inhalant anesthetic, full-mouth dental x-rays to assess tooth roots and bone health, scaling & polishing of teeth above and below gumline, fluoride treatment, and dental sealant. If indicated they also include antibiotics and pain control.
  • The cost for the dental treatment packages start at about $210.
  • The dental packages do not include additional oral surgical procedures such as tooth extraction, gum surgery, or removal of masses. Any needed additional treatment is discussed with you at the time of your pet’s procedure.
