The range of soft tissue surgery provided by our doctors includes elective surgeries such as spay, neuter, and declawing when necessary, as well as a broad range of non-elective procedures such as mass removal, exploratory surgery, wound repair, obtaining of tissue biopsies, and others.
Our biggest priority during surgery is the safety of your pet. All of our procedures requiring anesthesia receive the highest standards of care. This includes screening your pet’s blood prior to anesthesia to rule out any conditions that could adversely affect your pet during surgery.
Measures such as placement of intravenous catheters, administration of warmed intravenous electrolyte solution during surgery, as well as continuous monitoring of your pet’s body temperature, blood pressure, oxygen levels, and heart and respiratory rate are standard procedure at Riverstone Animal Hospital. Extensive post-operative monitoring and administration of pain control are also performed for every patient.
As always, we pay special attention to ensuring the safety of your pet and keeping you as the owner fully informed about everything that is done.
