Our entire philosophy is based on keeping your pet as healthy as possible and preventing illnesses before they occur. Wellness screening and early detection of illnesses allows us to dramatically affect your pet’s lifespan and longevity as well as minimizes the times you have deal with the emotional stress and expense of a major medical condition. Special emphasis is placed on educating you as the pet’s guardian about wellness care and steps that you can take at home to optimize your pet’s health. Our wellness visits are not just about getting “shots” – they are a comprehensive evaluation of your pet’s health that includes detailed examinations, wellness blood screening, parasite screening, individualized vaccinations, as well as counseling on behavior, nutrition, skin and coat care, and any other concerns you may have. Because of the scope of this care and the fact that our pets age much faster than we do, your pet is generally seen for wellness care twice yearly. This allows us to address any changing concerns as well as detect any problems as early as possible.
