Pet Care Team

Our Pet Care Team in Canton

Leo

Leo Our Hospital Cat

Hello, Visitors! I am Leo and I own this place. I joined the team in 2014 after I was anonymously left at their front door in a box one night. The humans think they rescued me and that I am grateful for living here, but little do they know that I am really in control of all that goes on here.

You see, I am the eyes and the ears of this hospital. You may see me lounge in various places when you visit here. Even though it appears that I am sleeping, do not be fooled. I am watching closely to be sure that your pets are treated appropriately and that the team members do their job well.

When I am not working here, I enjoy searching for treasures in the trash cans of the offices. I also like to inspect everyone’s drinks and lunches and help myself to them when they are not watching. I do like to chat with your pets when they are here, and it is amazing to hear the various stories they have to tell! Feel free to look for me and say hello when you are here.

Ashley O (1)

Ashley O. Client Service Representative

Hi, I’m Ashley. I have been in various roles across the animal industry for over 15 years. I joined the Riverstone Animal Hospital team back in the fall of 2017. Prior to my time here, I spent many years working in specialty veterinary medicine as a veterinary assistant, eventually transitioning into practice management. Here at Riverstone, you’ll normally see me assisting you and your pets at the front desk.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, along with dog training and competing in dog sports. When it comes to my own animals, I am currently owned by a small zoo, both furry and feathered. Animals have always been a passion of mine and I feel very blessed to be able to work in a field that I love. I look forward to the opportunity to serve you and your pets.

DevonTenhouse

Devon Client Service Representative

Hi! My name is Devon, and I'm brand new to the veterinary field. I joined Riverstone Animal Hospital in 2016.  Before I joined the amazing team here at Riverstone, I was a retail manager. While I enjoyed what I did, I decided to leave the retail world to follow my dream of working with animals.

I have been married for two years and we have two beautiful girls! I'm also the proud mommy of three large rescue dogs. My husband and I would love to have our own animal rescue facility someday.

I am so proud to be part of the team here at Riverstone! The doctors and staff have so much compassion and love for animals. I feel right at home! I love getting to know all of the clients and patients, and I am so excited to get to know your pet!

Heather

Heather Registered Veterinary Technician

Hello! I started working at Riverstone in February 2023. I have worked in the veterinary field as an assistant since 2016 and received my AAS in Veterinary Technology and Veterinary Technician license in August of 2022.

I have a built-in magnet for animals. From dogs, to horses, to snakes, birds, rabbits and cats, I love them all and enjoy the constant learning and growth that comes with veterinary medicine. The snuggles are a great bonus too!

I love the compassion and care that the Riverstone team extends to its patients, clients, and fellow coworkers, and the opportunities provided to grow as a technician in the field. My favorite part of being in the veterinary field is definitely the surgical aspect of it.

When not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter. Hiking, drawing, and DIY projects are some of my favorite ways to fill my weekends. We share our home with 2 dogs, a cur mix named Ivy, a Doberman named Mojo and a cat named Tonks

I am so excited to be a part of the Riverstone family and look forward to meeting both you and your pets.

camille

Camille Registered Veterinary Technician

Hello, my name is Camille. I am a registered veterinary technician here at Riverstone. I have been with Riverstone since 2008, here is where my journey in the veterinary industry started. I worked my way up from kennel, eventually graduating from Gwinnett Technical College with my associates in veterinary technologies and becoming licensed in 2014. Being at Riverstone has only made my passion of caring and loving each pet and client that I meet grow by leaps and bounds. I love being able to connect with so many people and their pets daily.

If you don’t find me working, you can find me camping with my little family. I have a wonderful husband, two little girls who love animals as much as I do and two of the best dogs!  I look forward to meeting everyone during their visits with us!

Sam

Sam S. Veterinary Assistant

Hello! My name is Sam. My journey with Riverstone started October of 2014 with the kennel team. I eventually grew more knowledge and had the best training from this to become a veterinary assistant.

I always had a love for animals and wanted to put my time towards caring for them and their owners' needs no matter what the case may be. I am very passionate about taking care of your fur babies when they need to come in for a surgery or dental cleaning. I will always do my very best to keep them comfortable, safe, and calm while they are in our building.

I have two crazy hound dogs that keep me on my toes. Also I have two Kitties, 6 ducks and one chicken. And I'm sure there will be many more in my future.

Outside of the hospital I am either working on making earrings and soap. I spend a lot of time at the local markets during the spring and summer. I spend a lot of my time working in my yard or hiking when the weather is too pretty to be stuck inside.

It has been a pleasure taking care of all the pets that have walked through our doors all these years. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you and of course your precious fur and or scaley baby.

Ashley W.

Ashley W. Veterinary Technician

Hi, I’m Ashley. I joined Riverstone animal hospital in 2021 as a kennel assistant. I started working at Riverstone to gain experience working with animals, but along the way Riverstone has become much more than a stepping stone to greater things. I have found a true passion of mine. I am so lucky to be able to share that passion with each and every client and pet I meet. I am currently in school to become a registered veterinary technician.

When I’m not at work, I’m caring for my little zoo that I have at home.  This zoo includes: four bearded dragons, a dog, a cat, a turtle, and three fish.

I can’t wait to meet you guys and care for all your fur babies and non-fur babies!!

Shyella

Shyella Client Service Representative

Hello! My name is Shyella and I’ve been working as a Client Service Representative at Riverstone Animal Hospital since July of 2022. I started working with animals very early on at the age of 14 and never really stopped! I’ve worked in hospitals, doggy daycares, and pet stores from being a kennel technician to a general manager. What sets Riverstone Animal Hospital apart for me, is the integrity each and every person who works alongside me portrays. It’s incredible to work in a place where everyone in every department cares so whole-heartedly for our clients and their pets, and I could not ask to work with a better team of people. I’m most passionate about helping our clients be advocates for their pets and helping them find comfort and answers. As someone who has a diabetic cat with plenty of medical mysteries, I can 100% say that our doctors will never give up on your pets, and that’s what is important. When I’m not working, I am searching thrift stores with my boyfriend for our newest furniture-flip-project, or I’m relaxing at home, reading true crime novels alongside my cats: Alfie, Lizzie, and Malakai as well as my dog, Bandit. I can’t wait to meet all of you and your pets!

Hi, my name is Libby and I’ve been a Veterinary Technician at Riverstone since August of 2021. I previously worked as a veterinary technician in San Antonio, TX. Our son is in the Navy and our daughter is in college back in Texas. Riley the Cat

Riley In Loving Memory

Our sweet Riley was Riverstone Animal Hospital’s first four-legged team member. He joined our team our opening year of 2002 and quickly became the heart and soul of RAH. He is well remembered for drinking out of the running faucets, falling asleep on our surgery table, leaving "presents" in various hidden places, and most of all for reminding us all to never forget to enjoy the moment.

He peacefully crossed the Rainbow Bridge in June of 2013 after a long-standing illness, surrounded by his friends and team members from RAH. Rest in peace, Riley. You live on in all of our hearts.
